The Rolf-Method for Structural Integration is a scientifically validated body therapy, developped by Dr. Ida Rolf. that works with fascia. The fascia surrounds the muscles, bones and organs in the body. The fascia gives muscles their shape and the body its structure.
Rolf-Method for Structural Integration
The continuing pull of gravity, the stress of daily activities, physical and emotional injuries can pull the body out of alignment. The fascia gradually shortens, tightens and adjusts to accommodate the misalignment. When the body is out of alignment it creates inefficiency and imbalance resulting in stiffness, discomfort, pain, and loss of energy.
Structural Integration is performed in ten sessions, the 10-series by Dr. Ida Rolf. The process of Structural Integration includes balancing the body in segments and achieving vertical alignment from balancing the body from front to back, side to side, top to bottom and inside to outside.
In one2one-sessions we
bring awareness to the
tissue and body
through touch and movement.
Working with the
different body-systems,
Reflexes and the Developmental Movement Patterns, clients gain new awareness and wider range of movement and function.
It is a non-invasive body-work that can help integrating trauma (physical & emotional) and injuries.
Dancers, performers and yoguis can benefit in order to improve their performance after or with injury.
Sessions are done with cloths on and last 60 to 80 minutes.
